I know this isn't a purely InfoPath issue but i thought some of you may have come across this.
I created an infopath form for a user to request a permt card. I then created a workflow in sharepoint designer to send the form to the appropriate person based on the request. I created tasks in Sharepoint Designer to get approval from the recepiants but then the problem starts. When a user clicks edit task they are not greeted by the normal task form that is generated by Designer, but a with a buch of extra fields like Content Type, Status, % Completed, Assigned To, Start Date, etc. then at the bottom there is the radio buttons I created for "Accepted" and "Rejected"
They should see"Save Draft", "Complete Task" and "Cancel" buttons that are normally there when you edit a task, but they simply get "Ok" and "Cancel" buttons. Pressing OK confirms your entry but does nothing about the workflow.
I created an identical workflow using just SharePoint Designer with the default list entry form it worked fine. the problem seems to be when the InfoPath Form is used. I'm the first one in the office to use InfoPath so no one else here can help. any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
