hi

i have used the workflow in my recent infopath form.

i have 3 drop down lists and i want to include a status field showing the amount of records contained within each drop down list.

can anyone help?

You are looking for a count of items in the dropdown list?

I would think if these are from secondary data sources you could use the count function, and could even include a filter if necessary, to get this.

i have used the count function in an expression box to the left of my dropdown list but when i have two entries it still only returns the value of 1 instead of 2.

i have tried to use the count function on the drop down list as well but the same result applies.

have you any ideas?

plus my drop down list are pulling information from the main data source not a secondary one.

You would want to count the same field you are using as the source for your dropdown.

So if you are using my:fields\my:company as the field for populating the drop down then you would want the expression box to count(my:fields\my:company)

Now that i am thinking about it, you may actually want to count the repeating group which contains the field so that it has the right context.
