Matt Faus Article: Allow Offline Use of a SharePoint List by Caching Locally

    Hi Gang,
Matt Faus wrote a very interesting article on grabbing SharePoint List data and caching it locally.
    http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/matt/archive/2006/04/10/Allow-Offline-Use-of-a-SharePoint-List-by-Caching-Locally.aspx

Has anyone used this successfully?  I tried it out and it does, in fact grab the data, but I can't figure out a how to make it stay once you go back offline.  It's an entirely possible that I'm doing something wrong or that I'm misunderstanding what this is supposed to do.

Thanks to anyone that can help a newbie out.

You would need to copy it all into the main data source if you want it to hang around offline after save.

However, if you are using InfoPath 2007--the caching feature is built right into the creation of a data connection. There is a check box in the second to last page which lets the SP List data be cached for offline.
