Hi All, I am using the InfoPath Form 2013 as a backend in a SharePoint list. I have created a date time picker with Date Type -> "Date Only". I need to show the date field with this format - 14-sep-2021 in the date field ( SP list). I tried changing the formats but InfoPath shows only the mm/dd/yyyy -> 9/14/2021 format. In my list, i could see the same format (9/14/2021). Details: Date1.pmg - date properties screenshot of my IP form. Date_output.png - date output -> date field passed into the textbox and shown in the preview mode of Infopath Please help out to get my desired output -> 14-Sep-2021.

In your customized list form, you can change the format on the date picker - right click the control, select format and pick the desired format. Hi Hilari, Thanks for your response. I have two queries still: 1)So even if we give 14-Mar-01 in InfoPath, The only way to show the desired output - 14-Sep-21 -> we have to add a calculated column in this list (as per your reference link). 2) Also, could you please guide me on how to select the previous years in the DateTime picker field, as I am currently selecting the button to move forward and backward of a month for the same year. Thanks for your help in advance.

SharePoint is storing dates as DateTimes. It displays them formatted based on the user's regional settings. We can't override the way they are displayed - so if you have specific display needs, you'll need to use a calculated column. I don't understand your other question - that is just how date pickers work? You can always type in the date and year in the yyyy-DD-mm format: 2020-08-09

Hi Hilary, Thanks for that. I am now cleared with your point which you conveyed for my first question. For Second question, what i asked is how will the user be able to see previous years by navigation of data time control. Red color highlighted area -> i used to click the button navigate back and front to select previous and upcoming months, how do i select the year 2020,2019,.etc.... in one go (without going and selecting the previous months button one by one) Please refer attached screenshot to understand my question clearly.

There isn't a way to override this behavior, that I know of. I suppose you could provide a button in the form that sets the date picker to today for last year or something....
