Infopath sharepoint online hides infopath filled field

Hello I made a form with rules where if x =y then a choice poptions will show. It works fine when filling in the form however when it is submitted the filled field has the condition is not shown as filled. It just does not show at all.

Ok - so generally when conditional formatting isn't working as anticipated, the issue is with the formatting condition. Are you re-opening the form after submitting and seeing this? Or does the form stay open when you submit it and the issue occurs?

When it is sent as an attachment it works fine, but when it is not sent as an attachment through sharepoint the field does not show

Sorry, I'm having a hard time understanding. I think you are saying when it is emailed it works as expected? But not when opened from SharePoint? Or maybe the difference is that it works as a Filler Form (opened in InfoPath Filler) but not as a browser form? Feel free to attach some screenshots or something under the Options tab in a reply if that would make it easier to explain.

It is a browser form. It opens in sharepoint online browser and it works just fine. However, when it is submitted through sharepoint and sent to an email. The output is the picture attached. I thought the issue was because I had set the field value as the options but disabled/removed and the issue persist.

I see - so the issue is just in body of the email. And there is a section that is supposed to be showing that is not? Usually when a control's conditional formatting isn't working as anticipated it is because the value(s) of the field(s) involved is not what we think - but sometimes form views look awful in email, so that can also be an issue. Since it is a browser form, you can create another view of the form to switch to prior to sending the email - a simplified view that looks good in an email message is nice, with calculated values instead of controls, because that will display more consistently. Maybe start with just a view with your section and conditions, and see if having it in a different view with simpler formatting helps. I'm also happy to take a look at the form if you want to attach it to a reply under the options tab.

I mean create another view in the view menu and then in your submit rules, change to that view prior to submitting. I see now that the form only submits to email, not to SharePoint at all. Is it the Description combobox from your earlier screenshot that is missing? You might want to try putting that in a section to see if you get any better result, then format the section instead of the combobox. Try with just one for testing instead of all of them.

Hello, it seems like the column of the table fails to use this function as though it has a limit to how many can be used. I tried using a section, it only works for one of them and the other works without the use of the section. The rest now do not even appear. Not sure what might be the issue now. any suggestions

Yeah, I'm sorry, I don't actually understand what you are trying to say. I'd guess the issue with conditional formatting would be the rule is not correct? Feel free to attach a copy of your form if you'd like me to take a look.

Re: Infopath sharepoint online hides infopath filled field

Is it the dropdowns that aren't displaying as you expect? Or the column after that, the one with radio buttons / checkboxes?

The drop downs are not displaying as expected. They just don’t even show when it is submitted.
