Link to New/Completed Form Not Work for Some Users

I have a user who can open existing forms from the document library, but not if you give him a link to the same form (cannot be opened in a Web browser). I also have a page of URLs to open forms and he gets an error when he uses the link, but can use the New document link in the document library, just fine. Since this is a Filler form, I had him set his default browser to IE, but that didn't help. Our worksites (where our forms are stored) is still SP 2010 and I noticed the compatibility was for 2007 Filler, so upgraded the form to 2010 Filler and reposted - still no luck. The form works just fine for other users, but the only way he can use this form is to go to the document library, which is less than optimal. I may have to convert the form to Web, but it has a lot of warning messages that will have to be reconfigured. Any ideas on why he can't use links when other users can?

What versions of InfoPath and Internet Explorer? Have him try the link to the XSN with the following URL parameter added after ".xsn":

    ?noredirect=true

     InfoPath 2010 32-bit version 14.0.7173.5000

    IE 11 version11.0.9600.18524 (updated versions: 11.0.37)

Adding  "?noredirect=true" enables him to open by clicking "Save" in the "View Downloads - Internet Explorer" window; then clicking "Open"; then entering his logon credentials again.

Having to go through the download (Save - Open) process is a pain, but it works.

However, adding the suffix to the new document link doesn't fix the problem with opening existing records. I have asked for clarification on that and will forward the results when he responds. DAP

Update...if my client goes to the document library, he can open existing forms. If I give him a link to an existing form, he cannot open it.

Should I use this suffix for all Filler Form links on my SharePoint Links page?

I'm not sure - another thing I probably should have suggested is adding the site in compatibility view. Just copy a link to an existing form, add the URL query param to it, and send it to him in an email or something - see if when he clicks it the form opens properly.
