question about how to deploy multiple forms from the same location

I will admit im new to infopath, and sharepoint, so i really dont know what the best practice might be for our intended use. We have forms that we'd like to pile together in a list that is groups by folders, HR...Accounting...Managers... ect... If i make webforms, what are my options? will it depend on whether or not i want to save each and every instance of new submitted form? like a library? or can i still publish the form to one document library, albeit a separate folder, and just have each new form submit from its web part page to a distribution list, and then thats it? I may not be making a lot of sense, but there are times when we want a record of forms submitted in a list, and there are times when we dont care, we just want the form to fire off and go. Just want a place that users can go, sort through folders and pick a form, open its link that points to a dedicated webpart page, fill it out, and submit...thats it. is this common practice to do it that way?

Well, I'm having a little trouble understanding the question - but I think you may want to try using content types and see if that helps you - you can publish a bunch of forms as different content types, and open any of them from the same library, and have them all submit to the same library. You can submit to a specific folder if you like folders. Or you can promote a field from each form to indicate the type (for example) and just add grouping to the library view based on the type. Like - say you have Leave Requests and Travel Requests and Expense Reports in the same library - if each of them had a promoted field named "FormType" and then had a default of "Leave Request", "Travel Request" or "Expense Report" you could group on that.
