Hi

I am sure this is easy and I am making hard work of it but having trouble promoting fields.

I have a form in a library which is working fine. The form submits to a different library. I have promoted fields but obviously these are showing in the location of the form not where the results sit. How do I get the promoted fields to show in this other library?

So - what is the form template for the other library? The one the forms submit to?

I'd think you might have to create site content type columns for this - but I'm not sure (so, no, I don't think this is easy & you are making it hard.....)

I do wonder if you publish the same template to the library you are submitting to if your promoted fields would then populate when XML is submitted.

I have a number of staff completing the same form so access it through a library. I don't want them to view each others completed/submitted forms. The managers have to complete the forms as well but they need to be able to access all of them to view results. I set them to submit to a different library so that only managers have permissions there.

Didn't realise I could publish to two different libraries. Shall see if I can suss that out.

Still having problems with this unfortunately. The promoted fields display in the library where the form sits but am submitting the form to a different library so the promoted fields aren't displaying there which is where I need them. Am wondering if I need to change the submit location but if I do this how do I manage the permissions so user can only see their own form but managers can see them all. Thanks
