New InfoPath forms open in browser but existing forms open in the client InfoPath program

    Hi everyone,

I have created and published a web-enabled form from InfoPath 2010 to a SP server. I carefully followed all of the instructions to make the form web-enabled, and also to make the site default to open forms in the web browser. When creating a new document in the form library, the form opens in the browser just like it's supposed to. However, after the initial submission of a form, if I click Edit Document, it opens in the client InfoPath application by default, and I can see no way to change that, or even to edit it in the browser manually.

Also, some additional information, if I try to edit the form on a computer without InfoPath, an error message pops up that states: "The document could not be opened for editing. A Microsoft SharePoint Foundation compatible application could not be found to edit the document."

Unfortunately, I work for a very large company (and am not in the IT department) and therefore do not have access to administrative SP server settings. However, I believe everything on the administrative side is set up correctly, given that the initial form opens in the browser.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
