InfoPath message - Before starting another instance of InfoPath, you must first close the dialog box currently open in InfoPath

I have one user who consistently gets the message Before starting another instance of InfoPath, you must first close the dialog box currently open in InfoPath" immediately after clicking "Send" when submitting on an email data connection.  It does not appear for anyone one else.  I have had her reboot her system and also clear InfoPath cache.  Please advise.

     Thank you in advance.

     Diana,

Look at her task manager (assume you're on a PC) is more than one instance of infopath.exe running? Also you might want to check her file associations. Is infopath associated with more than just infopath files?

She is on a PC.  I will take a look at the items you suggested.  --Thanks

One other thought - is she running the same version of Office for both InfoPath and Outlook?

Yes.  She has Office Pro. Plus 2010. Outlook and InfoPath are 2010.

This is now a wide-spread problem with users on local machines running Office 2010 and with Citrix users running Office 2007.  I am checking recent windows updates.

     Anyone else having this problem?

The problem does not appear to be related to any windows or office updates.  We did update email data connections in all of our forms to use a new primary email domain name.  We also discovered that the InfoPath application is not closing after the "Send" button is clicked and "OK" is clicked at the problem message.  Any ideas are greatly appreciated.  -Thanks

We discovered that an update to the Protected Trust(Email Encryption) Outlook add-in may be the cause for the message below, which appears after clicking the “Send” button of an InfoPath generated email message.   The problem does go away after disabling the Protected Trust Outlook add-in and can be recreated when it is enabled.  This item has been escalated to third party vendor.   Thanks for your support!
