Hi,

 i am trying to remove the first 7 characters from within each value of a repeating Multiple Selection box and output them to a text field.

I am already using

substring(eval(eval(Value[. != ""], 'concat("; ", .)'), ".."), 3)

But i need to add a substring to the Value[. != ""] field to remove the first 7 characters from each value.

I have tried:  substring(eval(eval(substring(Value[. != ""], 0, 7), 'concat("; ", .)'), ".."), 3)

but am kind of lost.

 Help would be much appreciated.

Getting the formula right is a bit tricky. Here's what I've got in my sample:

xdMath:Eval(xdMath:Eval(my:group1/my:group2, 'concat(substring(my:field1, 8, string-length(my:field1)), ";")'), "..")

 Here's my sample form so you can open it in design mode.

It doesn't work with a Multiple Selection List Box :(

Any Ideas?

 The function changes slightly, but the concept works. Reattaching sample form.

 That's working great thanks Ernesto, just 1 little thing, i don't want the string to end with a semi-colon, only for one to be used as a divider for multiple values.

 e.g - USER1; USER2

 and not

 USER1; USER2;
