Hello. I am an InfoPath newbie, so please bear with me. I have a form that I designed in InfoPath 2003. I have published this form as a template in a SharePoint library. What I need is for the user to be able to go to the SharePoint library, open a new blank form, complete the form, click Submit on the form, which files the document back into the SharePoint library for record keeping, but also emails a read only copy of the completed form to a predetermined email address for further action based on the contents of the form.
The form's Submit button has the following custom code applied
function SubmitButton::OnClick(eventObj)
{
XDocument.Submit()
Application.ActiveWindow.Close();
}
I have two data connections set up, one called EmailSubmit, which contains the destination email address, and Submit, which is the data connection to the SharePoint library.
Under the Submitting Forms options, I have Custom submit using rules selected. There are 3 rules. One to set the value of a field to "View" so that i can trigger the visibility of a section so that it is read only after submitting, a rule to submit to the SharePoint library, and a rule to submit via email.
Most everything is working reasonably well. Here is my problem. It appears that when the emailed form is received, it pulls the template down from the SharePoint location. I don't want the recipient to require access to this library. Is there any way the form can be "compiled" or "converted" so that it is a stand alone document after it is emailed?
Thank you
Paul
