Reply Contact Hi, When you take a dataconnection to an XML file, then InfoPath recognizes every thing as a string, even FileAttachment. So you need to change your schema so that the fields type is changed to Fileattachment. Reply Contact Sorry for miscommunication above, for 2ds InfoPath does not allow file control. This is how InfoPath File Control works, When you add a File Control to the UI, InfoPath will have a reference to this control in the Manifest.xsf. Here is how it maintains the ref:<xsf:xmlToEdit name="field1_1" item="/my:myFields/my:field1"> <xsf:editWith component="xFileAttachment"></xsf:editWith></xsf:xmlToEdit>One thing InfoPath doesnot allow is references to 2ds Elements in Manifest's "xmlToEdit" fields. So indirectly it is restricting FileAttachment to only main dataconnection. Agni / http://www.ggktech.com Page 1 of 1 (5 items) Copyright © 2003-2019 Qdabra Software.
