qRules Command - DeleteFromSharePoint throwing security related error

I am trying to use the DeleteFromSharePoint command to delete a temporary file form my sharepoint library.  My form is set to Domain level security and is restricted to open in a client only.

The command is returning the following error:  "Action: DeleteFromSharePoint. Arguments:<my library URL> Details: Security Exception - please check security requirements for this command."  I do not see any mention of security requirements for this command in the user guide.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Are you getting this error from preview? Or after publish? If published to the same site as the location you are deleting from, the form can be domain trust. But if not, it would need to be full trust.

Getting it both in Preview and after publishing.  The form and the library are on the same SharePoint site.  I even set up a new form library on the site and published a test form there injected with qRules 4.0.  The test form only has one user field, Command, which I use to set the qRules command field.  I get the same result and same error message.

Would you be able to attach that simple, test form to your next reply? (You can attach via the Options tab). We'd like to take a look.

    Thank you.

Interesting - I'll check with out test team and see what scenarios they tested the command with.

I have attached the form.  Here is the error message displayed in the form:

Action: DeleteFromSharePoint. Arguments: url: http://<SERVER>/brewton_mobile/EndeavorFiles/SalliePies Lean Train 03-09-12 Endeavor Form.xml
. Details: Security Exception - please check security requirements for this command.

    Thanks for looking into it.

    Thanks.

So first I tried the form in Preview, just to make sure everything's working correctly. I had an issue on Preview at first. I received the message:

InfoPath cannot open the selected form because of an error in the form's code.
Policy settings prevent opening Internet forms with managed code. To fix this problem, contact your system administrator.

I know of two ways to solve this:

    1. Make the form Full Trust.

    2. Keep the form as Domain Trust (or to Automatically determine...), but also enter one of my Local Intranet URLs in Form Options > Preview > Domain

I opted for #2. I then Preview and verify everything worked.

Then I published the form to my SharePoint 2010 site (the same URL I added in #2 above, a site which is in my Local Intranet settings in IE) and the command was successful.

Can you try #2 above? I'm attaching a screenshot of where to add the site in Form Options.

Let us know how it goes. Thanks.

Re: qRules Command - DeleteFromSharePoint throwing security related error

Sorry for the delay in responding.  I had already tried your suggestion mentioned in Step 2, (added the site to the Domain entry under the Preview options) and had the same failure.  What I missed was adding the SharePoint site to my Local Intranet list.  I had it in my Trusted Sites list in IE.  I still find it odd that InfoPath uses the settings in IE that way.

Once I added it to Local Intranet, the command worked with no error in preview.  I will test after I publish it and post the result here.  It will make a better solution than the work around mentioned below.

Prior to your response, I found a work around that will work for this application.  I am using the DWS CreateFolder and DeleteFolder queries and the ChangeSubmitURL qRule to accomplish what I needed.  I simply create a temporary folder, submit the form XML file to the temporary folder by using ChangeSubmitURL.  When the form data is submitted to a different folder (Based on form data), I simply Delete the temporary folder.  This meets our requirements.

Thanks again for the good info!  qRules is a great set of tools.
