Anything is possible, What I am wondering is if because I have other versions of this same infopath form template on my computers drive if that is why I cannot open it, I have gone around to a handful of computers now and I am the only one that it doesnt work on.. Would still having saved versions have anything to cause this, what would happen if I deleted every trace of this infopath form off of my computer, technically wouldnt it be the same as going to another comptuer that way?

I think the likely case is that the other computers have an older version of the template and that is why they can still open the forms.  You probably have a newer version that has been modified in such a way that the documents won't open in it anymore.

     That is my guess anyway.

Regarding my earlier question, when you look at the data source taskpane in InfoPath design mode, does myFields have a child node called LumbarRange?  Is there no node with that name, or does it have a parent that's not myFields?

The form is stored on a server so those computers wouldnt have any version of the templete.

LumbarRange for some reason is under the parent MaxLumbarHeight.. I am officially hoping that if I move that to be under MyFields that it will work, why do you ask?

Because based on the error message, it appears that the XMLs that are failing to open have a LumbarRange node directly under myFields.  Would you mind placing one of these problematic XML files, and a screenshot of your current main data source, in a ZIP file and attaching it to this thread?

Not at all but what do you mean by current main data source?

With your form open in design mode, be sure the data source task pane is displayed. Be sure "Main" is selected for the data source. Click on the plus signs to expand folders so that the full data source is displayed. Take screenshots of the data source. Then we can compare your actual XML to the current schema for the form.

So, I can see that there are attributes in your data source that aren't in your XML. Can you share a copy of your form template?

The file is too large, (170kb even zipped) is there an address that I can send it to?

I think we got this squared away - looks like it was a caching issue on your machine....

I know this is old post but to viewers encountering this error, but I have a useful tip: Use the Logic Inspector to search everywhere the offending "Field1" in the error message is used.  Then update the rule(s).  If perhaps you moved the field in the Main data source hierarchy, you may need to rebind the field to the rule (reselect it again so schema can find the correct xml path to it).
