    A few questions?

     Hello Forum Members,

My name is Martijn and I'm from Holland and I'm looking for help.

I've searced the web for clear answers for my question but haven't found them yet so I will ask them myself. I currently working with a non-profit foundation which need to retrieve online data

    from donors.

I have created a form in Infopath 2010 and,

is it possible to publish data to a online database?

is it possible to place the form or a link to the form on a website?

is it possible to read the data from the online database with access?

What services do I need in this case?

    Regards,

    Martijn

    Hi Martijn_VL,

Yes you can send InfoPath XML data to a SQL database.

You can link to the form from a website.

Access can be configured to pull from SQL.

We recommend using a loosely coupled Web service that maps XML to SQL using a data-mapping file. That way you can have one Web service for all of your XML templates (saves time and cost managing Web services) and allows for easy updates when the form changes (no downtime, just update mapping file). We built the DBXL Web service back in 2004 to help people get their XML files into SQL. We have lots of happy customers using it. You can download a free trial from Qdabra.com.

    Cheers!

Thanks alot for the quick reply! You really helped me a step forward

I just a beginner in this section so I have some following questions:
    - where can you get a web-service that maps XML to SQL using a data-mapping file?

    - where do you need to put the code or something for the web-service?

-how do you use Qdabra(I've downloaded it and got a server application and a client, and somewhere during installation it says that you better put qdabra on a sharepoint site or something like that)

    - I understand you got a DBXL Web Service, ok so when I got that I can connect my infopath form to that service and the webservice will send the data to an sql?

    Greetz Martijn
