I am trying to create an Infopath 2003 form, and I'm not having a lot of luck. I have data in Access that I want to use populate some of the fields in the form (which I put in the query section). Basiclly, you fill in one box, hit the query button, and it fills in the rest of the query fields. This form will then be sent to another department to fill out the rest of the form and we will then dump that data into Access as well (the other users will not actually have the database available to them- which is why we want to populate part of the form in advance). Those fields I put in the data section.
My issue is- Why does it insist that my controls are 'repeating' and then I try to bind them and it gives me a warning that I'm binding them to non-repeating and only the first entry will be stored. I guess I don't understand the value of the 'repeating' controls, when all I want is one piece of data per field. Most of them I want to be drop downs to control the data entry. When I try to manually choose a non-repeating control it creates new sections. I'm pulling my hair out!
Any help is really appreciated- I bought a book, but it doesn't seem to tell me what I need to know.
