Could not retrieve the InfoPath value using lookup in SharePoint workflow.

I am using the feature receiver(Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.Server.Administration.XsnFeatureReceiver ) to deploy InfoPath form. It will show as a content Type in the Site collection. I promoted a few fields in the InfoPath form ,I am using these fields in my workflow. However , when starting the workflow ,the value is not retrieved from the columns,it is always the default value. If I deploy using the InfoPath directly to SharePoint , everything seems working fine. Can someone shine some light on this? Is this the limitations of the XsnFeatureReceiver or am I  missing something?

Not sure about that receiver thing, but when I create workflows (always in SharePoint Designer), I can always get the values of my promoted InfoPath properties, because if the data is in the SharePoint list/library, then it's visible to the workflow.  It doesn't matter if it's a doc lib, list, content type, or admin-approved (also content type), because if the fields have data, the workflow only sees this data.  The key is specifying the correct row by matching the ID or some other unique identifier, unless it's the current item in which case there's nothing to it.
