    Count number of documents in library

    Hi,

    We have been using incremental numbering on InfoPath forms which come from the number of documents in the library. However, i have noticed that it stops counting after 100 most likely due to the limit of documents that can displayed in each view. Is there a count function or something similar that wil let me count passed the 100 item barrier.

    I could be completley wrong here, but seems strange that the numering has stopped at 100

    How you are doing that, easiest way is to use VSTA code, create an instance of your doc lib,

    splist doclib = (spdocumentlibrary)web.lists["yourlistname];

    splistitemcollection itemcoll = doclib.items;

    int itemcount = itemcoll.count;

     Let me now if you have some queries..

    There is no fixed limit for the documents in doc lib, recommended is 2000 folders per document library and 2000 documents per folder..

    It looks as though the problem is covered when the amount of items is shown is greater then 100 (the amount of documents in the library). The view appears to controls the what the count function will control. I will look into the method you said above as I would rather not have the libraries showing over 100 docs Thanks
