Hello everybody, I have (hopefully) a quick question for you InfoPath gurus.
We have a form that's currently built in Java (yuck) that I would like to convert over to InfoPath forms and integrate it with SharePoint (as a web form). Here's a description of what it does in a nutshell:
- Users fill out the form when they require a new piece of software installed on their machine in the company
- Depending on the software the user has chosen, approvals are needed from different users
- The way we currently get the approvals is through manual signatures -- the user must cart the piece of paper around to different departments and get it signed!
Rather than mucking around with digital signatures, I'm wondering if it's possible to get the approvals through a serial workflow, based on the software the user needs installed. The approvers can be predefined, however only some of them may be needed depending on the software choices. Is this something that can be done with InfoPath? If so, could somebody point me in the right direction of what must be done to accomplish something like this?
Thank you very much in advance for any replies! By the way, we are using MOSS & InfoPath 2007. :)
