InfoPath Dev

I'm currently using Infopath 2003.  The Code is set to VBScript.  I've managed to create a "Submit Order" button at the bottom of my form that uploads the form to a shared network drive.

Dim txtName

txtPath = \\ctckcsvr1\localuser\
txtName = "NewOrder" + ".xml"

XDocument.SaveAs(txtPath & txtName)

The code is very basic and works good for what I need however, I'm missing an indentifier in the filename.  I would like to use at least one, maybe two fields from my form, and I've tried multiple scenarios found on this site, but I can't seem to get any of them to work.  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated  Thanks in advance!

Hi, here a sample of code to get value in VBS: 

Dim sFileCode
sFileCode= XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode( "/my:XPATH").text

You have to replace "/my:XPATH" by your current code Xpath.

and after that, just replace:

XDocument.SaveAs(txtPath & txtName) 

By:

XDocument.SaveAs(txtPath & txtName  &sFileCode)

I am actually trying to do the same thing as Zach but I am still getting an error.  Here is what I have.

 Hi, I'm not completly sure about this line XDocument.SaveAS(txtPath & txtName & sFileCode) it should be XDocument.SaveAS(txtPath & sFileCode  & txtName)

 I just switched those around and I still get an error when I submit.

 InfoPath cannot complete this action, because of an error in the form's code.

 Ok, try to attach your form template, to do that, when you reply, click on option and select your template...

Also, you can click on details and send us the error message. :)

PaulPHS, the logic I struggled with the most was my "XPath".  You may double check yours and make sure it includes the correct [MainDataSource]. 

 I was trying to figure out the error I was getting but InfoPath isn't giving me one.  For the XPath I did a copy and paste from a data connection.  I found that being the easiest way to get it right.  At least thats what I think anyway.  I have attached the error I am getting, I'll attach the template in a sec.

 Here is my template.

Ok, your Xpath is wrong the good one is :/my:myFields/my:PtInfo/my:ptfname

To known a xpath on  your datasource window right click on your field and then click copy Xpath, after that you paste it to your code.
