Formatting Date fields from a SharePoint list within an Infopath Form

I have a InfoPath form that pulls date info from a SharePoint list. In doing so, InfoPath changes the date from i.e. 3/22/10 to 2010/3/22. So, how to I keep the original date info from SharePoint when it is displayed within an InfoPath form?

I know that you need to add a formula to keep the formatting but I don't know where to start in coming up with the formula?

Any guides that I should take a look at?

    Thanks

Hi, have you tried to modify the date format, Right click on your texbox, properties, format, and select the needed format.

The underlying date is stored as a string in the XML format which is YYYY-MM-DD. Unfortunately there is no function that will format the date how you want. You'll have to download the free trial of qRules and use FormatDate to set a separate value in your form and then promote that field. Then you should be good to go.

Edit:I just understand the context. Yes you have to use a solution like qRules, or create another data sources with your formatting date you probably can do that with codes.

Thanks to everyone with helping me with this issue.

I'll take a look at qRules and see how it can help me out.

    Thanks again
