Infopath to Sharepoint List Tool Installation Problem

Some time ago, I installed this product as per Jo-Anne Alfafara's blog post.

When I went to open it in the specified file: C:\programs\qdabra software\IP to Sharepoint List Tool - it was not there?

I tried to re-install, but it says it is there already.  It shows in the Change/Delete Program list in the Control Panel but nowhere else.  When I try to delete it so I can try to reinstall, it errors out and won't delete.  I tried repairing it, but it still is not there.

I did a full search on my entire C drive and it is not there???

Have you ever heard of such a thing?  What can I do?  I really need to use it for an urgent project!!!  Please help!

I believe the tool is an installable InfoPath form; I don't have it installed at the moment, but I remember that this form is registered in InfoPath.

Please try this: open InfoPath, then go to Fill out a form, and select All Forms. The InfoPath to SharePoint list tool might be there.

If that doesn't work, please see this:

Let us know if this advice helps. Thanks!

I did as you suggested and was able to find the form, but the fields are red X'd indicating it is corrupted or non-functional?  Probably because of the unsuccessful attempts I made at uninstalling the item???

I went to the link, but Microsoft has removed the link to the CleanUp tool because they said it could cause damage if you use it on non-Microsoft programs?  You can look at it and see what it says.  They basically retired the tool...

I am on a work computer and a little nervous about using something like that...

When you open the form, you have red x's or non-functional fields in the form? Can you post a screen shot?

I couldn't figure out how to post a screen shot...  but when I open the form on the Import Form tab the File to Import and Folder Path fields have a red X.  On the Define Mapping tab the Source XSN and Target Sharepoint Site URL fields also have a red X.

I just need to get rid of it completely and reinstall, but I can't.  I have been told here not to go in and mess with the registry on this computer!

It's weird that you see red x's when opening an InfoPath form that's why we're requesting for a screenshot. When you try to reply to this post, in the Message box, can you please try clicking on the Insert/edit image icon in the toolbar? It should allow you to insert an image/screenshot, although you may need to have it uploaded somewhere first.

For us to better understand your issue and address it sooner, you may email Support at Qdabra dot com. Send us your screenshot and any information that you think may help.

Re: Infopath to Sharepoint List Tool Installation Problem

When I open the InfoPath to SharePoint List Tool, after performing all of the preceeding steps (attaching xsn, selecting sharepoint list, etc),  when I click on the browse button to select my repeating group, my List Importer Schema Tree is displaying HTML code.  It's not the nice GUI tree structure as shown when viewing say a datasource.

This is usually an IE setting. Here is another post on this.

That was exactly the problem.  The administrator had to make this change to the group policy setting and then it worked liked a charm,

     Thank You!
