    Rule Problem

    Hello,

I am trying to autopoulate a field with a number based on another fields value being equal to a specific state. The rule says, if state= texas, then this other field sould equal 100. (Just an example). When the condition is being met, the field is not populating. Very weird! Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Does your rule actually Set Field's Value for the proper field?  Is the destination field made with the proper data type (number), and are you sending a number or text?  Are you sure the If statement is truly being met?  By that, I mean is the value in your Rule the _exact_ same value as the first field.  For instance, if your value for Texas is TX, but your rule says Texas, then it doesn't match.

Such errors in logic are usually very simple and a case of overlooking the obvious.

    Hi,

Also verify the case of the state field value. For example, if the state value is Texas and you are checking with texas then it should fail. So make sure that both are same in case.  Once put the condition in a expression box in UI and verify whether the condition is true or not.
