  • Re: Users not always getting latest version of form

Yes, I think that is the correct answer, rather than deleting the form. Is it a recognised issue/bug though that IP doesn't automatically download a newer version if one is available?  I assumed it would always first check to see if an update was available before even attempting to open the cached one.

  • Re: Users not always getting latest version of form

Forms are published to a network share and downloaded from a website pointing to that share.    I just came back from 2 users PC now and they definitely were not getting the bar (2010) - just a certificate error from IP.  I got round it by deleting the form from the list of available forms on the File tab. Then it finally ...

  • Users not always getting latest version of form

I have published new versions of forms after updating the form signing certificate. I thought users would automatically get the latest version when next opening the form but that is not happening. I tried updating a minor label in the template to force an update but no change. Only by deleting the cache in ...

  • Re: Display RTF from secondary datasource

I got this working by having a rich text box bound to an HTML field in the main data source by using this code on form load: string s = DataSources["REST Web Service"].CreateNavigator().SelectSingleNode("/ns1:ArrayOfRisk/ns1:Risk/ns1:Details", ...

  • Display RTF from secondary datasource

I followed the discussion here and changed my data source xsd file to convince Infopath that my field is XHTML and not a string. I can then bind it to a rich text box, but I see all the html markup as text in the box.  I tried adding the  namespace to the root element, but it makes no difference.  My data source is simply ...

  • Re: Can I change the URL of a Rest datasource via code?

These 3 lines of code is exactly what I wanted. I'm still a bit confused about the difference between a DataSource and a DataConnection though. Will need to read the docs. Thanks both.

  • Can I change the URL of a Rest datasource via code?

I know there is a rule to do this, but I need to do it via code. I got a navigator to the datasource and was expecting to see XML with atributes like URL etc. but see nothing. Is this at all possible & how? Thanks

  • Re: Can't save 2013 form as 2010 - error "specified programming language is not supported"

I tried that then my project wouldn't build because it references Microsoft.Office.InfoPath from Office 15 and I get the compiler error saying "The type or namespace name 'Office' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft' (are you missing an assembly reference?)" Same for LoadingEventArgs and XmlEventArgs, so I ...

  • Re: How would I submit a form to a Web API service?

I can't even get it working with a WCF service - can't get the bindings etc. in web.config to work with Windows integrated connection to SQL Server. Resorted to asmx and it all works fine.  Aren't we supposed to be moving away from asmx & soap for simple data access & update?

  • Can't save 2013 form as 2010 - error "specified programming language is not supported"

I get this error when trying to save a form created in 2013 to 2010. There is some C# code. The error message says to remove it...  Is there some secret way to convince Infopath that the language is supported?  Or maybe I can just edit the xsf to allow it to open in FormFiller 2010 somehow?
