Posted to General (Forum) by StephanieG on 08-06-2008 Set a Field's Value issue In my form, I have a field called revTo that is filled in from a secondary database. Most of the data in this field follows the pattern of a letter and a number (i.e. "A1", etc.). I need another field to be automatically filled with only the letter, without the number. Right now I have a rule to Set a Field's Value as whatever ... Posted to General (Forum) by StephanieG on 08-05-2008 using a large database in InfoPath Forms Services I have a fairly complex InfoPath from that uses a large SQL database as a secondary connection (the database has several thousand rows). I added it to a SharePoint site with full-trust using Administrator-approval. The form works great when the user opens it in InfoPath, but when it is opened in the browser, we keep getting that ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by StephanieG on 08-04-2008 Switch views to a certain repeating section I have a repeating table in one view and a repeating section in another view, that are both bound to the same data source. The repeating table has a button that will switch the view to the repeating section. So if I put in "SP0021-02" for the partNumber, the partDescription fills in ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by StephanieG on 06-11-2008 Data Connection Problem I am designing a simple form in InfoPath 2007, connected to a SQL database. The form has two fields: one is PartNumber, the other is PartDescription. I added a rule so that when the PartNumber matches one in the database, the PartDescription will fill in automatically. The rule looks like this: Set a field's value: PartDescription = ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by StephanieG on 06-10-2008 opening a new form to fill out with information from a repeating table I am designing a form with a repeating table. Among other things, the table includes a "PartNumber" field and a "Generate Drawing" button. The button opens a new form that has many of the same fields as the original form, including a "partNumber" field. How do I (either by rules or programming) make those fields fill ...
