    In my form, I have a field called revTo that is filled in from a secondary database. Most of the data in this field follows the pattern of a letter and a number (i.e. "A1", etc.).

    I need another field to be automatically filled with only the letter, without the number. Right now I have a rule to Set a Field's Value as whatever revTo is, but I can't figure out how to keep the number off.

    Hi,Put the rule on revTo field. 1.    Set the resultedField value to substring(revTo, 1, 1)Hope this helps to you.
