These two sections are shown/hidden depending on the value of the "SubmitView" variable. When submitting, if a user has some validation errors, the content switches to this 'basic submit' ... Posted to General (Forum) by Kolten on 01-18-2011 Cascading dropdowns in a repeating section (browser enabled) So I successfully created some cascading dropdowns in my browser-enabled form using a web service and a database to store the dropdown info and relationships, then using a rule to populate the 2nd dropdown based upon what is selected in the 1st dropdown. This all works well. -- Unfortunately, the dropdowns need to be in a repeating section, ... Posted to Controls (Forum) by Kolten on 11-17-2009 Re: Browser-enabled Cascading Dropdowns? I guess I could have dropdowns for every list item in the first dropdown, and show/hide depending upong what is selected in DropDown 1.... Seems pretty hokey though and I might end up writing some code for this i guess. Posted to Controls (Forum) by Kolten on 11-12-2009 Browser-enabled Cascading Dropdowns? How would I go about creating a Browser-enabled form that contains Cascading Dropdowns in a repeating table (or section)? All the examples I found while searching use the Filter, but supposedly browser-enabled forms do not support filtering??? This should be fairly simple - I could code it but I'd prefer to use Infopath so I can share the document later. Posted to General (Forum) by Kolten on 06-09-2009 Re: Matching usernames - two data connections I am using my own web service I created... It takes two strings as input (firstname and lastname) as input, looks up the ActiveD username based upon that, and returns the username. That part is working fine... The other connection (DB connection) is working as well - I have it listing the firstname/lastnames of people in the DB in a repeating ... Posted to General (Forum) by Kolten on 06-08-2009 Re: Matching usernames - two data connections It is just a textbox, and I have tried a few methods so far. - a button that has rules to set the query parameter of the web service, then query it, and assign the value to the textbox. - having the textbox as a repeating section inside the repeating table of the DB connection. I thought I could show/hide values not applicable but this is ... Posted to General (Forum) by Kolten on 06-08-2009 Matching usernames - two data connections I have one data connection that looks up a table in a database and pulls FIRSTNAME and LASTNAME. I have another data connection that is a WEB SERVICE that accepts two strings: firstname and lastname, and outputs a username. I wish to have a form that will act as a "match-maker". Take the Firstname and Lastname from the Database, ... Posted to General (Forum) by Kolten on 06-08-2009 Re: View not submitting with email Thanks - I guess Show/Hide content is the only way to do it because views have a limitation when switching views, then submitting. I tried creating two different rules, but since they were invokek from the same submit method, that didn't work either. Can't wait for the next version where they (hopefully) fix these bugs.
