Created a list form from scratch but the "Option Button" is missing. It is available when I create a form as a Library form though. Anyone found a solution to this yet? Removing inserted by InfoPath for Multi-line textboxes Hi Hilary, I assume you meant calculated value in the version of InfoPath I have? as I could not find expression box in it. If that is the case, the caculated value field does not honor the line breaks from the textbox. I ended up using the Rich Text Box, although it does not work when I publish it as a web part in SharePoint, it actually works ... Removing inserted by InfoPath for Multi-line textboxes The above work-around is soon discarded because it does not copy over the line breaks. Removing inserted by InfoPath for Multi-line textboxes I think I just answered my own question, well, to be more precise - I just found an alternative/workaround - Create a Rich Text box in the form, create a rule to copy the value from the multi-line and dump it there. Removing inserted by InfoPath for Multi-line textboxes So I finally found the culprit that causes InfoPath Multi-line textbox to not "word wrap" its content when submitted through email. After doing some comparison and examine the email source. It is found that the spaces between words are replaced by Infopath with " "s. Which prevents word-wrap to wrap the words. Is ... Posted to General (Forum) by photonacl on 01-29-2020 Re: How to show filed value instead of display name for the dropdown box options on Email submissions? Thank you Hilary. I have solved this issue by inserting an extra dropdown (normally hidden), apply rules to translate it and toggle between the two drop downs at Email submission. Posted to General (Forum) by photonacl on 01-29-2020 Re: How to show filed value instead of display name for the dropdown box options on Email submissions? Thank you Hilary, I tried the "conditional formatting" approach. Basically, I added one more rule before the submitting rule for the submit button. And added the following steps like: // Condition: State1 = "Old Dominion" // Run Type: Action // Run these actions: Set State1 = "Virginia". After the form is ... Posted to General (Forum) by photonacl on 01-16-2020 How to show filed value instead of display name for the dropdown box options on Email submissions? Let's say I have a dropdown box with the following options - Display Name: The Golden State | Value: California | Display Name: Old Dominion | Value: Virginia | Display Name: The Lone Star State | Value: Texas | When users fill out the form, they see and pick the display name, after they submit the form the submission is ... Posted to General (Forum) by photonacl on 01-16-2020 Re: InfoPath 2013 - Text field (multi-line) does not word break when displayed in Email Thank you for this solution. While it is working in breaking up the lines, it does not preserve any line-breaks/carriage returns inputted by the user. Any idea how to circumvent this?
