No the form still did not want to submit. I ended up setting up a virtual pc with normal windows operating system (my infopath was running on a server - with desktop experience) and it worked perfectly on the normal Windows OS. Thank you for your help

I know the answer: Infopath is no longer supported by MS. But my client still runs SP on prem 2016 with Infopath forms. I need to do some changes to their form but when I try to publish the changed form to the library, I get the attached message - i can only figure out it is something to do with Infopath. Thanks Hillary, that will not work, because the main connection goes to the repeating field and the Contract Value should be written to one entry in another list. I'm looking into Web Services as an option.
