Thanks for the response! I wasn't aware of the Substring-Before feature, very useful!   I have this working in my form, but I was wondering if there was a way to make this a validation type rule, if the dates don't match it wont allow a form submit?

 Right Click on the field, select Move, then choose the group you'd like to move the field to.
