 Hi,

 

I'm trying to set up a rule on a Date/Time field in repeating table which checks the same field in repeated lines to ensure they're on the same day as the first date entered.

 

I'm not sure how to set up the rule to only apply to the date portion of the control, as the time portion is linked to the same field so any rules applied apply to both halves.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

 Fun - see attached sample. Save the file locally, right click and select Design, and from there you can preview and try it out.... I'm highlighting the whole row on a mismatch of date. I've also set a default in field2 to show the value of the substring-before formula. Holler if you have any questions or need a hand implementing this in your form.

I have this working in my form, but I was wondering if there was a way to make this a validation type rule, if the dates don't match it wont allow a form submit?

In my sample form, I was able to just copy / paste my highlighting rule onto my datetime field and change it to a validation rule - maybe try that?
