Can someone please answer this question or is it just boring? :( How do you display more than one record from a database if the filter finds more than one database record meets the criteria other than in a pull down list? I want to display ''Paragraph breaks'' in a peice of text but if I can't do that then I thought I would create a record per ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by mattlight on 08-13-2006 Re: Paragraph breaks have gone from mdb field! So, I've thought of an idea. If the database has a record for each ''resolution step'' (paragraph) then when the form gets to what resolution code to use, it filters based on that but lists all matching records from the database sorted by the resolutionStep number! What type of section, etc do I need to display more than one possible result ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by mattlight on 08-08-2006 Re: Paragraph breaks have gone from mdb field! Thank you - I appeciate your answer! Yeah, it's SQL format really. I will look up what a Varchar field is - I take it this is in my database and then I view it as a normal text field in Infopath? Thanks again Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by mattlight on 08-08-2006 Re: Paragraph breaks have gone from mdb field! Does anyone have any idea why text brought into a form field from a data connection with a database loses all paragraph formatting? How do you get it to display the data as it is in the database? Thanks Posted to General (Forum) by mattlight on 08-05-2006 Re: Heirachical drop down list from mdb It's now working perfectly! I had to create some other fields which would be primaryIDs for the selection. I don't know of any way to make a selection show one thing but contain the value of another - example: show component name but the vaue of the form field = componentID. Since doing this it is all good and my heirachical drop downs ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by mattlight on 08-05-2006 Paragraph breaks have gone from mdb field! Hi all, I have a form which looks up data from a knowledge base created in Access. Example of a fix displayed in Access: If you are sure it's not really happening (you may have Book1 open and then attempt to open a Book1 from another folder), then try re-registering Excel. 1. On the Windows taskbar, click the Start button 2. Choose Run 3. ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by mattlight on 08-05-2006 Re: Heirachical drop down list from mdb I appear to have been a bit of a muppet! Because it is a database, the relationship is based upon the primary and foreign key. If a drop down box of a ''FORM'' field uses the data from a field in a database table, will it automatically know what the primary key vaule is if I use it to filter the drop down list of the second drop down list by ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by mattlight on 08-03-2006 Heirachical drop down list from mdb Hi all, I hope you're all well. I have created a form which has a data connection with a database which has a string or connecting tables. It's a knowledge base - I want to create a form which filters through this using drop down lists. The tables are as follows - there will also be added on symptoms and then resolutions as well.
