  • Re: User Roles - Help!

This has, in fact, turned out to be a deal-breaker for us. My supervisors don't see InfoPath as being very reliable - they want something that is guaranteed to work for all users with no tweaking. I've spent a LOT of time on this form and we're losing a lot of functionality by ''dumbing down'' to SharePoint only, so I'm rather upset about this ...

  • Re: Option Button Problem

Wow, it may not even be possible? I really hope that isn't the case - it's a pretty crucial part of my project. Does anyone have any suggestions for how this might be done? Thanks! Anna

Ted, Wow, I didn't realize that was such a common fix - thanks for letting me know! It's not ideal, but I guess it's the best solution for the present. Thanks again. Anna

  • Re: User Roles - Help!

I was able to get it work when I added the site to my intranet zone as the article suggests, but I don't think that will be an acceptable solution for my users. One thing that may be a little different with my scenario is that the SharePoint site is in another domain - so I had to install InfoPath on a machine in that domain in order to get at ...

  • User Roles - Help!

Hello, I'm trying to get user roles to work in my InfoPath form. I've tried using both users and groups from my Active Directory domain, and the preview works fine, but I get the same error every time after publishing it and trying to open the form from SharePoint: InfoPath cannot create a new, blank form. InfoPath cannot open the form. To fix ...

  • Option Button Problem

Hello, I have an InfoPath form that posts back to a SharePoint form library. The form has several sets of option buttons which I have manually populated, and I've changed their values from the default 1,2,3 etc. to more meaningful text, as the value is what shows up back in the SharePoint form library. However, I also need to be able to do a ...

  • Error when following tutorial

Hello, I've been looking for a solution to a particular problem that I will describe in a minute. I was intrigued by the tutorial ''Use the SharePoint '[Me]' Filter with a Promoted Property'' http://www.infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=371d344d003946268efdd6b03fcbb6b4) and thought it might go a long ways towards helping me solve my ...

  • Urgent IP issue

I've developed an InfoPath form which submits to a SharePoint form library. We keep having persistent problems with either opening or submitting the form. Usually it works fine, but sometimes we get the errors. Clearing the browser's cache has so far worked for our internal users, but external is another story. We had a devil of a time even ...

  • Submit button

Hello, I'm pretty new to InfoPath and was hoping someone could help me. I've created a form by which a user can submit an event to a form library on SharePoint. There are a couple of problems, though: 1. It would be easier for our users if I could place a ''Submit'' button at the bottom of the form, rather than have them manually save it to the ...
