ok sorry for not explaining well enough. This has nothing to do with InfoPath. When you create a new Contact List type in WSS the default editing field is ''Last Name'' and it won't let you cahnge it from what I can tell. I wanted to know if there is any way I can set a different field as the default ''link to edit'' field no worries if noone ...

It is a Sharepoint List type. Contact. It also allows importing from Outlook and linking to Outlook. Was not sure hoe much experience people had with Sharepoint on this forum but I know that mmost people who use InfoPath use Sharepoint at some point.
