  • dll error upon user access

Hello: I have a form that we have been using now for quite a while. Every so often, we get a user who tries to use the form and gets th following error: InfoPath cannot open the selected form because of an error in the form's code. The format of the file 'EmployeeAddChangeRequestForm.dll' is invalid. I don't understand why this code works for ...

  • Re: Switching to Coding in C#

Matt: Thank you for your help. However, manually rewriting the code is not the problem - there is not much code there and I would be happy to move it over. I just don't know how to get to a cs file. The form code always opens in a js format and the code is C#. How do I get around that? Do I need to open the form in Visual Studio? When I do that ...

  • Switching to Coding in C#

I have a form that I had developed and subsequently added some code to. I didn't realize when I added the code (I do not have a heavy background in programming)that it was c#. The form code was saved as a javascript file. I subsequently purchased and installed Visual Studio 2005 and the Infopath toolkit, but I can't seem to modify this code in ...

  • Problems in Submitting to Sharepoint Form Library

I am trying to set up a form for users to automatically submit a form to a form library on Sharepoint using a Submit button on the form. When I set up the Submit button, I chose the path to the form library as the location and selected the now() function to name the documents as they are submitted, thinking that each document that was submitted ...

  • Re: Submit selection does not include database

Could my problem be due to not having a primary key specified? The only primary key I am using is an autonumber, which I don't know how to replicate in the form. I am not sure that I can use a primary key in this database, since it is just designed to tabulate information, not to record unique information. Any suggestions? ~If you don't have time ...

  • Re: Submit selection does not include database

Matt: I am currently on SP2. I tried to use the New Record button to submit back to the database but it doesn't submit anything. Do I need to put something in the button to make it do this? If so, what? (This seemed like such a simple project.) Sorry to be such a pain - no money in the budget for training. thanks for all of your help. ~If you ...

  • Re: Submit selection does not include database

Matt: Honestly, I am not sure what happened. I had created a form about three months ago and was able to create a Submit to Database button. When I created a new form yesterday, the option to submit to database was not available. I didn't do anything differently than before. Regarding your reply, I deleted that button from the form not knowing ...

  • Submit selection does not include database

I saw a post from 1/17 by MFaus that stated ''You don't have to use web services, but you will have to use code. Setup your database data connection to receive data and you will still be able to write to it using XDocument.GetDOM( ''NameOfDataBaseConnection'' ). Once the database is linked in as a secondary data source it can be accessed very ...

  • More than one submit button per form

I will need to create more than one submit button on my form, as it is being routed to more than one person. (One person will initiate form, then submit it to another, who will fill out the form and send it on to another, who will then fill it out and submit it to a form database (probably on Sharepoint). Whenever I create more than one submit ...
