  • Re: Data source is one value, want to display another (NT user ID)

It does Hilary - worked perfectly. A public shout out for all of your work too. I've gleaned a lot of knowledge just searching this forum. You all are the best! Thank you!

  • Data source is one value, want to display another (NT user ID)

Using Infopath designer 2007, I have a form that is auto populated with userName() based on a ruleset; this predicates on the logged in user. In the form I want to display the actual name of the person. I have this data-connected to a SharePoint list on the system that contains fields "userID" and "FullName". I am able to do ...

  • Re: Cascading dropdowns - filtering works but selection does not

Hi Don. Thanks for the reply. I found the fix just before your response and have been buried in this project ever since. Seems like I filtered incorrectly and used RiskTypeSelection as the matching field (not distinct). When I filtered on RiskType it all worked out OK.... something to that effect. That was two weeks ago and a lot's happened ...

  • Re: Extracting latest field in a repeating table

Hilary THANK YOU! I tried your suggestion and got the same thing. Acting on a hunch, I added [last()] to both path indicators as follows --> CurrentStateGroup[last()]/CurrentStateText[last()]. In raw XPath it looks like this: ../my:CurrentStateGroup[last()]/my:CurrentStateText[last()] And - it worked. Such a simple solution to such a vexing ...

  • Extracting latest field in a repeating table

I know this has been addressed before, but for some reason the solutions I have Googled and found here or elsewhere are not working.   PROBLEM: Infopath 2007 - I am trying to show the last text value fields in a repeating table used for project managers to update status on their projects on my InfoPath form.  Each form ...

  • Re: Making a button attach as many files as the user wants

Relative newbie here. I got around this by indicating on the form, "Attach file (one file - use a zipped folder for attaching multiple files)" Saves me programming time and puts the onus on the user(s) to do some of the labor themselves. 80/20 rule basically...
