  • Re: SubmitToSharePointList: "Access Denied" (I broke it AGAIN!!)

AFAIK nothing has changed on the SP server (I'll be talking with the admin this morning about just that). The test form was first "looking" at the same list and, when that failed, I connected it to a different, very simple one-record, one-field list with the same result.

I did a bit of poking around in the log files on the SP server and found the following entries (seemingly related to the issue I'm having);0x1EA8 SharePoint Foundation          Logging Correlation Data       xmnv Medium   Name=Request ...

  • Re: SubmitToSharePointList: "Access Denied" (I broke it AGAIN!!)

OK...I did as you asked Ernesto; I created a simple form with a single field. I mapped that field (using the new qRules) to the SAME list that my complicated form was mapped to...with the same results. Then I created a new custom list with a single-line text field in the same subsite, generated a new mapping file (with the same name as the ...

  • SubmitToSharePointList: "Access Denied" (I broke it AGAIN!!)

A case of "curiouser and curiouser"...I had a form that used the SubmitToSharePointList rule which had an error that you (Ernesto and Hillary) helped to resolve in this thread; http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/22067.aspx That issue was resolved by re-injecting the form with the "latest and greatest" of the qRules. Since ...

  • Re: SubmitToSharepointList and a Security Exception

Ok, your version works (whew)! So I guess I had better download the newer version (or will I be "safe" in the short-term if I continue to make revisions to your version, as long as I don't have to re-inject the Qrules)?  In either case, thanks (again) for your help and patience.

The form xsn is attached. If you need anything else (like the UDCX file for a data connection to a SQL library that has other info, or the mapping file(s) for the Qrules) just let me know.

OH NO - I broke it!! I don't know what I did, but I'm getting the "security exception" again! And this time it won't go away. Here's how I got to where I am now; I have two computers (lucky me) - computer "A" and computer "B". At the last writing of this thread, I had done everything on computer ...

  • Re: SubmitToSharepointList and a Security Exception

I did download the 4.1 Trial and installed it [Embarassed by my "rookie mistake" above]. As a quick fix, I put that into a checkbox on the form - Ernesto, I'll do what you suggest in a later iteration. With qRules 4.1 in-place, the submit worked, and I think I'm on my way!  Thanks everyone for your expertise, and patience.

  • Re: SubmitToSharepointList and a Security Exception

Since the (semi-)paniced reply above, I've since downloaded and re-installed version 4.1 of qRules and re-injected my form. Now I see the useWebServices node, but I'm stuck on how to change the value from false (the default) to true. Off to Google to figure this out...

  • Re: SubmitToSharepointList and a Security Exception

I'm sorry Hilary, when I went to check the attribute, my view didn't look like yours. I had checked the qRules version number by looking at the version number at the bottom of the qRules injector (which said 4.1.4437.27150) - so i assumed that I was running verstion 4.1. After seeing that my listing was different than yours, I checked the ...
