  • Re: Closing Infopath Application without using code.

I understand and use the "Source=" to close the form and re-direct the user to the URL specified in the "Source=" section. But I don't believe that applies to opening the .xml file produced when a form is submitted. I need to know how to close infopath, not just the .xlm file, using rules if possible.

  • Re: Closing Infopath Application without using code.

I have the form open in a browser but when it is submitted I have a workflow designed to send a link to the approvers. I am using the "Encoded Absolute URL" method in the email that is sent. The URL has within it the <name>.xml. When the link is clicked the .xml file opens in InfoPath, as opposed to IE. It is this infopath that is ...

  • Closing Infopath Application without using code.

All, I have been tasked to close Infopath, after a form has been received and approved, upon submission of approval. I currently have a form that allows the Approval section to appear after the form has been submitted. • Re: Submit options that submit form and redirect user to another site

Ernesto, The solution I came up with proved to be rather simple. I created a link directly to the form, bypassing opening the form by clicking on the "New" button in the form library. This link consisted of 3 parts, the link where the form would be located, the link taht says where the form should be sent once it is submitted, ...

  • Submit options that submit form and redirect user to another site

As we know, by default when a form is submitted the user is directed to the library which houses the form. What I need is for the form to submit, close and the user be redirected to another site. I understand this can involve changing the source parameter, but I would like to know how to change that source parameter, if that is the way to go, so ...

  • Re: Linking data in Sharepoint Library to a Sharepoint List

So there is no inherent ability within Sharepoint to link a library with a list?

  • Linking data in Sharepoint Library to a Sharepoint List

I am using MOSS 2007 and Infopath 2007. By default, data collected in Infopath is loaded into a Sharepoint library. Is there a way to either link that data to a Sharepoint list or is using the CAML method the only way to placing the data in a list? Thanks
