Last » Re: Creating duplicate forms when filename changes After you published, did you update(open and click "Save and Update") the form before changing the filename? I got it to work by opening a previous form, updating it, and then resaving it as is. This will unfortunately only work on forms that are new(after you published the updated template) or on forms that you open and resave ... Be careful using this way since any rules that the field may use will not run. http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/21550/74489.aspx#74489 Posted to General (Forum) by leoffneym on 08-05-2014 Re: Creating duplicate forms when filename changes When you change the filename outside of the form, it doesn't change the internal field that controls the filename. If you change the filename in Sharepoint, and then open and resave the form, it uses its internal field as filename and creates a duplicate of the original filename. Is this what is happening? Posted to General (Forum) by leoffneym on 08-05-2014 Re: Creating duplicate forms when filename changes See attached form. I think this may be what you are looking for. Posted to General (Forum) by leoffneym on 08-04-2014 Re: Rich Text box validation issue If you are using validation for the required field, you will want to add an "AND" rule. Ex: Condition OverallStatus is equal to 1 AND RichTextBox is blank OR OverallStatus is equal to 2 AND RichTextBox is blank Screentip Please fill out this field. (This can say whatever you want it to say) Without the ... A true/false field can be used to check if the form was submitted. True - submitted, False - not submitted. If yes, then there are ways to make what you work, this would be the best option. If no, then your ... Hopefully that is enough for what you need. You could get it to do more if using code, but a rules based version works for most cases. I got it to work using 3 fields. 2 of them can be hidden. Field 1 is the input field. Field 2 is an eval field that ... Ex: First time use, the user puts 6 days from now, but someone opens the form 4 days from now, the validation on that field will not allow them to save the form without fixing the date. If you ... One involves disabling the submit button until all validation has been passed. The other involes adding a second subimtted field. Both ways work. We have one form that has alot of validation on that users can miss. Our problem was that if the form failed ...
