It's a codebehind file, ''FormCode.cs'', VSTA. Not a webpart! Does this help?

Thanks for your response Shilpa. But that did not provide me with a solution.
My scenario is similar to that of one described by Matt Faus in his article at, http://www.infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=9111ef580f95479890fc18fb2c5bac85.
The only difference is that I would like to use a SharePoint List as secondary data source ...

Hi Deb,
As Shilpa mentioned, this tutorial should work regardless of data source - you will only need to edit your XPath statement to filter the drop-down correctly.

You can import the template whenever you create a new project in Visual Studio. This will disconnect any JScript code you may have written from the form, but the script.js file should still be there for reference.

Hi diabolche,
Try this:
var date = XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''//my:date1'').text;
var annee = date.substring(0, 4);

I feel your pain on working in script editor without Intellisense - oh the agony!

However, this only works with InfoPath 2007 :) I usually look at the data source task pane to construct XPaths - don't forget those namespaces!

Hi Kun,
I'm confused by this code - are you writing this in codebehind an InfoPath form or is this a SharePoint web part? Can you give us some context here?

Hi Jim and welcome to the forum!
I can't think of an easy way to do this using an XML form as your secondary data source. You could, however, move the user list to SharePoint and use the following tutorial to update that list from the form.

Crazy, I didn't know they converted the XSL functions to different languages. Could you tell me this: When you check the box that says ''Show XPath'' - what do you see? I would think xdMath:Eval(, but if they converted it to German, that'd be crazy!

Thanks Matt , but big Newbie here! Not sure what you mean by providing the schema. :o)
On the right hand side, I clicked and added a row above. Then copied & pasted the existing hours field and reset the binding to my newly created hours field. All fields are showing little locks, which I cannot seem to remove. I'm wondering if this is ...
