• access view xsl elements using xpathnavigator

Hi, I want to access/modify the elements of the viewX.xsl with code. I failed to find any resources for this issue. Is it a part of the security scheme to prevent access to this xml file? I just need to change the visual rendering of the view. (Like setting it to readonly?) For example change the following attribute? <xsl:attribute ...

  • Re: Infopath to database or vice versa

You do not have to ''attach'' the database to the form. I'm not sure what you mean by that... non-the-less, what you want to accomplish is have the user fill out the form, then email it to you. You would need to open each email separately and submit the data to the database unless you have the form's submit button go directly to the DB. If the ...

  • Modification to -Filter a repeating drop down list

Matt's tutorial was very informative except that when you need to keep typing the list over. Is it possible, in infopath, you could create a list & system will use that list to filter. Which 'control' should I be using. Thanks in advance. Filter a Repeating Drop-Down List on Previous and Future Selections By Matt Faus, Tuesday, 23 May 2006, ...

  • Re: Infopath to database or vice versa

I was planning on deploying/sending out the form w/o database attached. If a user submits it via e-mail(it will 100 of them), I will need to do them separately.(100 times manually) I am hoping to do it automatically (w/o database attached). After I received all of them (or in groups), I want to run a macro or something to submit it to the ...

  • Re: Infopath to database or vice versa

That is exactly what InfoPath does. Create the Database first in Access. Create the InfoPath form by choosing ''Design a Form'' then ''New from Data Connection''. The ''Main Connection'' can send/receive date from the DB and the ''secondary connections'' can recieve data from the DB (like a look up). You can add buttons and program them to send ...

  • Re: Wildcard Query

I'm not sure what the SQL manager query window is, but I ran it through Access, and it worked. Is SQL manager query window a utility in InfoPath? If so, where do I find it? The SQL syntax was part of the problem, as it turns out... The SQL syntax, while it works in Access, didn't work in InfoPath. I had to change the * wildcard indicators to ...

  • Submit Issue

I am able to submit data to database with no problem. And I can also pull data back by query. Everything works fine at this point. Here is the problem: After I make changes in the fields, the submit button is disable. I cannot submit data back to database. 1. I am sure that my main connection is ''retrieve & submit.'' 2. I am sure that the ruls ...

  • Infopath to database or vice versa

I am new to infopath & would like to know whether this is possible. I would like to create a form which will be going to about 100 people. Eventually I would like to dump all the 100 form into one database (MS access). (I am trying to stay away from sharepoint if possible) I am going to ask the users to send me the completed form to me & I was ...

  • Re: Wildcard Query

Did you verify that this command works from the SQL manager query window? If it doesn't, then its likely an issue with the command syntax. If it does, then perhaps the Command property isn't getting set somehow.

  • Re: Automatically Populate Fields from a Drop-Down

I figured it out using Trial and Error method. Prefixing @ to ID solved the issue. The actual XPath is,quote:xdXDocument:GetDOM(''Clients'')/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/dfs:Clients/@City[../@ID = current()]Thanks to all those who were trying to offer their help. And special thanks to Matt Faus.
