Hi jikner and welcome to the forums!
The best way to open a URL in a browser windows is with a hyperlink control in the view. You could bind this control to a node and dynamically change the URL that it opens. As for doing both of these actions with one button click I'm not sure how possible it will be.
There are two ways to open a URL from ...

Ok, here's the code I used:
XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''/xs:Overview/xs:OverviewUpdate'').text=''true'';
but I get a runtime error -

Hi Accesswang,
I believe the only way to submit data to a database using standard InfoPath functionality is to create a form with a Main DOM schema bound to the database. To do this, create a new form and choose ''From Database schema'' - this is what allows submission to a database. You should be able to achieve the same things that you're ...

Hi Darrell,
I think the easiest way to do this would be to create a view in SQL and then connect to that view from InfoPath. This also seems like it would be more performant, but I can't vouch for that.
Hope this helps!

Hi Lorenzco,
It seems like you've done what I described in this HowTo:http://infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=9111ef580f95479890fc18fb2c5bac85 but you need an easier way. Makes sense. Try this:

--Number
--Department
--Etc.

Hi Steve and welcome to the forums!
It sounds like this is a perfect scenario for our Database Accelerator! We have created countless forms that follow this exact scenario. With DBXL (our acronym for Database Accelerator) you can have each row in the repeating section be a Document and then provide buttons to edit and delete. If you create a ...

Hi Sebastian,
The best way to do this is to use InfoPath 2007's UDCs. If this is unavailable you could try changing the data connections in code depending on where the form is being opened from. I don't know the exact syntax and I'm away from my dev box right now, but it'd go something like this: Put this code in the OnLoad. ...

StreamReader s = File.OpenText(''Mytext.txt'');
string read = null;
while ((read = s.ReadLine()) != null)
{
Console.WriteLine(read);
}
s.Close();

Hi Viju,
I don't know if this is worth the effort. The only thing I can think of doing is adding a reference to the Windows Forms class library and then creating and popping your own dialog box. I've never done this myself but I've heard of it being done.
Let us know if you figure it out!
