Thanks Patrick!
Meantime I do the following workaround:
In the InfoPath object model I can get via the HTTPContext the referrer URL. With some ”epic voyage” in string operations (substring, trim, etc.) I deconstruct the URL and so I get my parameters in InfoPath but I think this is only a workaround. And it is very error-prone.
Actually I miss in ...

Hey!
I tried a connection using UDCX files. The result is the same error.
SharePoint Lists are not adequate for my requirements because I can define a column in a SharePoint list as multiline and I can bind this column to a multiline data control in InfoPath but unfortunately if you test it out you will see, that no line-break will be realized ...

Hi NiK and welcome to our forum!
I have not heard of this problem. What do you mean by ''extensible table''? How big is the table? What is the XML structure of the external XML data connection? What version of InfoPath are you using?

Hi Rolf,
Is your Web service running on your local machine? If so, localhost is correct. However, that won't work when you have to roll it out to a server that you want other people to access.
Why do you need to write code? Just use the Data Connection wizard to add the parameter based on the field in your form.

I don't know if this is supported. My guess is that it isn't for hosted InfoPath forms. If you have a handle to the InfoPath instance, you could write a Web service on the server to get the parameters and set a couple fields in the InfoPath form. Usually for passing parameters we use import via the command line /aggregate switch or we use a sample ...

Maybe it's the ampersand. Try adding two && characters.

Hi HappyDigit,
I think you need to either convert the data connection to be a) UDC file (see Tools\Data Connections\Convert) or b) include the XML file in the solution. You could also just use a SharePoint list for dropdown controls. Take a look at ourhttp://formsboard.com/ site it has a couple samples of this - Sales Order and Sales Leads. Login ...

Hi Folwarczny and welcome to our forum!
I don't think this is supported. It looks like it could be by attaching a signature to a section within the repeating section and putting the entire form within that, but when I tried to do it in preview it wouldn't let me. My hunch is that this isn't supported, but there's a chance that by manipulating ...
