I have created a text box for the user to input a NAME. I have also created a validation condition for the input that says, If the ''NAME'' box is ''BLANK'', display an ERROR MESSAGE. I have also checked the validation rule ''CANNOT BE BLANK''

Can a dropdown list control on Selected event (or any InfopathEventType that applies as a dropdown event) be detected and coded against in c# managed code for IP 2003? And, if so, any examples?

Here is what I have tried.
1. I stored the XML files in the forms Template. When I bring up the Form in browser mode the response time did not improve enough to make a difference. When I open the form from the Client, the response time is good.

How can I retrieve the current user's OU. I want to populate a text box based on what department they are in.

I'm relatively new to InfoPath and brand-new to XML/XLT/XPath, whathaveyou. I have a form in which I'm trying to compare two fields, and, based on the result, display one or the other. In Excel I'd write the statement like this:
=IF(fielda<fieldb,fielda,fieldb)
In other words, if “fielda” is smaller than “fieldb”, then display ...

My problem was that since the original textbox was created from the main datasource queryfields, it wouldn't allow me to set the datatype. But I had another textbox referencing a custom field I created that did not strip off the zeroes on button click even though it has a text(string) format, so I deleted the queryfield bound ...

Hi Patrick,
I am using SCB for type-ahead function. The problem is that my list contain about 1500 records and it is hard to find by using list box.
Since the SCB cannot work with a database connection, I have changed it back to a list box.
Is there any way I can work this out?
