Welcome to our forum Manos!
The problem is likely that connecting to Outlook requires full-trust. This is for security reasons (to block email viruses). As soon as you deploy the IP form to SharePoint it is placed in the domain trust mode. So you will either need to codesign your XSN or create an MSI installer for it to do integration with ...

When you say youre created the new form template from SharePoint what do you mean? If this column intended to be a promoted property column you may need to set the default value inside InfoPath so it gets a value to promote. If not then it may be an issue with how you save the form to SharePoint.

Hmm. While we don't tweak the XSL much, I did see background images on table cells working the other day in a solution we have and I'm using IE7. Are you sure you have the absolute latest release of IE7? There were some bugs in the beta builds.
As for landscape/portrait, that also is working in various solutions we have. However, we have ...

Hmm. I think that form# name you're trying to change is the file name. I believe that the only way to get that to show up differently is to actually save the file so it has a name to display in the task bar label. Unless the form is full-trust you won't be able to save the form programmatically b/c of security. I'm curious where are you ...

Here are more detailed steps:
1) right-click the manifest.xsf file and select ''Design''
2) designer will open. from there click File::Save As and save the XSN again to a new location.
Thanks, Shiraz

In this situation you will have to write code as part of your tree selector to first check if the value is allowed in the dropdown, and if not then display the message instead. A few questions:
1) where did you want to display that message? dialog would be easiest and then just ignore the selection.
2) where do you get the values that are listed ...

Hello and welcome again. It's a little hard to follow specifically but I can understand the problem you're encountering. There should be a way to have InfoPath not duplicate the assessments and people each time. My guess is that your DB structure is more advanced than the out of the box IP connection can figure out on its own.
One thing you ...

A very interesting scenario. I'm thrilled to hear you're using the hosted InfoPath control. In this case, you may need to replace your rule with code to display the dialog because the event firing order can't be further controlled. By putting your dialog in code you will be able to handle the ordering yourself.
Also, I'm curious on your ...

I found the following which may explain the issue:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888706
You should first apply the InfoPath SP2 upgrade and see if that fixes the issue.

The version is probably not the issue. Did you check ''Allow Nulls'' before you created the form or after? If after then you need to use ''Convert Main Data Source'' to resync the schema of the form to the web service.
