    Infopath Sharepoint Default Values

I have Infopath 2007 form template, wich I have published to document library in Sharepoint 2007. For one of columns in document library of Sharepoint I set default value = "My Default Value" for one of columns (for example "MyColumn"), but when I create new form template from Sharepoint MyColumn`s value equals empty string. Why is it so ??? I we do exactly the same for word document libray we will be good...

When you say youre created the new form template from SharePoint what do you mean? If this column intended to be a promoted property column you may need to set the default value inside InfoPath so it gets a value to promote. If not then it may be an issue with how you save the form to SharePoint.

    Hi, Shiraz!
When I`m saying that I create the new form template from SharePoint library, I mean that I click "New Item" in sharepoint library :)
I have published my infopath form to the document library in Sharepoint 2007 as TEMPLATE. But when I published my form, on tab of binding infopath columns and sharepoint columns, for one of my columns (for example "MyColumn"), I check in 'true' this stuff: "Allow users to edit data in this field by using a datasheet or properties page". So, when the form already has published, I`ve gone to docuemnt library in sharepoint, gone to MyColumn column properties, and set default value = "bla-bla-bla". Then in document library, I click "New item" and see my form, but field "MyColumn" is null!!! When I fiil out all values including "MyColumn" and submit form - everything is allright. Then I go to "Edit properties" of my just created form in sharepoint document library and change "MyColumn" = "la-la-la" and save it. Then open my form and see that "MyColumn" changed value from "bla-bla-bla" to "la-la-la" ! But why, it does not happen when I create new form ???

    Hello
As I see You have edited the default value to only one form which you have created, but not in the template. So when you click to open the New form, it is opened from the template where the value is still null. If you want it to come in the New form also then You should edit the default value for the field in the design mode and then publish it again.
