• Re: Creating relationship when submitting to multiple lists

Hi Jason- Yes, the parent (Projects) needs to exist in order for the children (Project tasks) to exist. First thing: I would add the Error node to the canvas, to make sure that you see any errors while developing the form. It might be that the Projects (the first list submit) is failing for some reason. With qRules v4.2, you can ...

  • Re: How do I insert on repeating groups?

Hi, Could you explain more about your schema, or perhaps even attach a screenshot of the data source or the form itself? I'm having a hard time visualizing which are the repeating groups, whether all repeating groups have a parent container group, etc. Thanks!

  • Re: add field in repeating section (from data connection)

Hi- If you have a database-bound form, your schema is locked to SQL. Are there little locks in the form's schema? That's why you can't modify the schema, add nodes, etc. You would need to make the change in SQL first, then allow InfoPath to regenerate the form schema to match the updates in SQL, thus maintaining the form bound to ...

  • Re: SubmitToSharePointList with attachment Read Only

Hi, I'm sorry, I don't think I quite understand. qRules depends on SharePoint permissions. So the individual user's permissions do matter when using the SharePoint-related commands included in qRules. I haven't tried but I think that if we had a form with custom code, the behavior would be similar. That is, qRules isn't ...

  • Re: Dropdown list with more than one displayvalue

Hi- Modify the SharePoint list to add a calculated column that concatenates the two values, then use that column in your dropdown, as the displayName. Basically, you have to handle for this in SharePoint, and not in InfoPath. InfoPath can't concatenate the values itself. InfoPath needs to receive the data already concatenated. Good luck!

  • Re: SubmitToSharePointList with attachment Read Only

Hi, I'm not sure that I understand the question... The qRules command will simply extract the file attachment into the document library you specify, but qRules won't set permissions on the document library. You can control document library permissions just like any other SharePoint library. I don't know what you mean by this: ...

  • Re: New to Infopath - Need formula assistance

You'll want to create two rules on the dropdown. Each rule will have one of your conditions. The rule will simply Set a field's value. The field whose value will be set is the Benefit Rate field and the value for that field will be either 25 or 12, to match your conditions. I don't think there's a formula (if by that you mean a ...

Hi, I think what's you're looking for is called cascading dropdown. Here's one tutorial; here's another and here's another. There are other tutorials available online - just search Google if you need more samples. Good luck!
