• Re: Delivery of value between form A to form B

Sorry - I had told you earlier in this thread that you can use this in OnLoad, but I've just verified that it does not work in OnLoad... it has to be done elsewhere--which might take some figuring out on your part as to where it should occur (if you were trying to do it in OnLoad). An OnClick event is just fine, or perhaps an OnAfterChange ...

Yes, OM stands for Object Model. If you were able to successfully save your form to work with IP03, open it in IP03 and still run it, then yes, you were using the IP03 OM. As I look back in the thread, I noticed that I should have seen that you were using the IP03 OM, but you are using JScript and not C#. Sorry--my mistake. I should have seen ...

  • Re: Mixed input elements for posting new listitem

Either I don't understand what it is you want to accomplish, or there is some fundamentals that I need to go over. Binding: This is the association between the control (i.e. a drop-down list box) and and XML node (i.e. field) in a DOM. Most commonly, this binding occurs on a Main DOM field, as these are the ones that store the values in a way ...

Instead of adding a repeating table, add a drop-down list box and specify (in the properties dialog box) that you want it to be populated from that data connection you made.

  • Re: How to choose which view will use ?

Not sure I understand your issue. It sounds like you want to have 3 views: MainView, MaleView, and FemaleView. A user starts out in MainView, and then clicks a button identifying themselves as male or female, which switches to the appropriate view. If this is the correct scenario, then you just need to add a rule to each button--the action of the ...

  • Re: Adding c# code to Form

Are you using InfoPath 2003? If so, Launch Visual Studio, create a new C# InfoPath project from there, and have it import your existing form that you've already started. Then you will be able to write in C#. You have to start from Visual Studio to use managed code. If you have IP07, then if everything is properly installed you should be able to ...

  • Re: Populating form data from another source

If your schema matches exactly (including namespaces) then you should be able to just replace the existing root node with the root node of your outside XML source.

I'm not sure how to answer that. Does someone else want to jump in here with a suggestion?

  • Re: Delivery of value between form A to form B

IP07 allows you to develop using the IP03 OM or the new IP07 OM. Some clues to know which you are using: IP03 OM uses objects like thisXDocument, IXMLDOMNode, IXLMDOMDocument IP03 OM has events such as OnAfterChange, OnBeforeChange, OnLoad IP07 OM uses objects like XmlForm, XmlNode, XmlDocument IP07 OM has events such as Changed, Changing, ...

  • Re: Email error

Great! Let us know if that was the issue. I'm curious to find out whether IP expects the hosting server to have Outlook installed as the default email client.
