Please see my reply to your other post regarding this issue. Also, it would be helpful if you moved this information to that post. If you need fast help coding, we may be able to provide assistance, but we typically don't work for free. The forum is not a place to get free coding, but rather, suggestions and guidance on how to do stuff.

Hi Troy,
I need to understand your scenario. Are you trying to change a value in an unopened form without opening it? Are you trying to open a form and prepopulate values based on this value? Please clarify. My understanding based on your first post was the latter.
You can use NewFromSolutionWithData to do that but it will require that the form ...

So'kay, I think I am going to hire someone to do that part of the forms, its too much for me to wrap my little brain around. I am hoping Infopath 2008 or whatever version they come out with next addresses this with a Wizard. Seems to me Microsoft's Wizards would suit a lot of common form component tasks that you'd otherwise have to code ...

The article you suggested is similar to the NewFromSolutionWithData, doesn't it?
It says using an xml file to test it. However, my question is a parameter in an opened form(no save) needed to be passed to an unopened form in a query field.
Have been struggling on this issue. and need this to be done by next Friday.
Please advice. Thanks very much.

As I expected, I have run into a problem with the 2 forms I am working on. The problem is that the first form deals with facility information and the second deals with devices that are located in the facility, so they are related. I want to have a button on the first form that will open the second form and automatically fill in the building ...

I have a connection setup to Access database. This connection submits the data, however, it doesn't appear how I would like it. Basically, I would like my InfoPath form to submit the contents of the form to the main table. On the form, I have 2 repeating combo boxes. Each combo box is directed at a separate table within access. I would like ...
